“There’s unfinished business there” Jim Harbaugh sets aside NFL ambitions for college championship

Jim Harbaugh

Jim Harbaugh is a high-rated coach with tons of experience. The Michigan wolverines coach was up for a job as head coach for the Minnesota Vikings but they didn’t go for Harbaugh.

Reportedly, the Vikings weren’t ready for Jim Harbaugh to be their head coach, but the 58-year-old was ready for the opportunity and looking forward to working with the Vikings.

“I don’t apologize for taking a look,” Harbaugh told ESPN. “And the one that doesn’t get printed is I don’t apologize for wanting to be at Michigan. Seem to cut off that last part of it. And that’s where I’m at, happy as can be.”

Jim Harbaugh also coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014 and completely turned the team around. The 49ers displayed superior quality when playing under Harbaugh.

Jim Harbaugh was slightly disappointed with the Viking’s decision as he had a lot to offer the team but currently he is content with trying to win the college championship with Michigan.

What’s next for Jim Harbaugh

Jim Harbaugh

Jim Harbaugh has an impressive resume with stints with the 49ers and Raiders. The Michigan Wolverines coach certainly has a lot to prove. Though Harbaugh is done chasing the NFL for a while now and will be focusing on the college championship.

“One of the things that was really kind of driving me is, you know, we were in San Francisco, we got that close to winning the Super Bowl,” Harbaugh said. “That’s always been a thing. There’s unfinished business there. But, hey, winning the national championship, I could be really happy with that, too. So that’s the goal. That’s the one we’re chasing.”

Jim Harbaugh is looking to win their first Super Bowl title so it won’t be long until we see the 58-year-old coaching an NFL team, and we all know that if an NFL team comes looking for Harbaugh and offer him a job, he certainly won’t decline and jump at the opportunity.
