The 2022 NFL draft has been interesting in many ways and reflective of the teams thinking and mentality nowadays. One of the points to be noted is that teams are being patient and cautious in drafting in a quarterback. Only one QB (Kenny Pickett) was drafted in by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Day 1.
The other thing to be talked about is that the demand of wide receivers is increasing exponentially and team’s are realising the value and worth of this position. Additionally the trades of AJ Brown and Tyreek Hill also reflect exactly the same.
Rich Eisen names his top five sneaky good picks in the NFL draft
While everyone is focused on the best of the NFL picks this season, NFL analyst Rich Eisen has talked about the top five picks who can impact massively but are not being talked about that much.
Rich Eisen started off with Devonte Wyatt of the Green Bay Packers. The Georgia Bulldogs tight end was drafted in by the Packers in the first round and while many Packers fans were disappointed with not getting a receiver in the first round, Rich Eisen believes Devonte Wyatt is one to watch out for.
Rich Eisen then named David Bell of the Cleveland Browns and added that he was shocked Bell was drafted in so late in the third round given that he was the Big 10 Freshman of the Year in 2019 . At number 3, Rich Eisen spoke of Indianapolis Colts’ Alex Pierce and said that the ‘kid is a winner and the king of the 50-50 ball’.
Eisen proceeded with Skyy Moore of the Kansas City Chiefs who he is deeming as the perfect replacement for Tyreek Hill given the same height and body dimensions. And finally at number 1, Rich Eisen named James Cook of the Buffalo Bills who he thinks is a ‘special kid’ and is definitely the best sneaky pick of 2022.
