Tom Brady and the Buccaneers suffered a brutal loss against the Dak Prescottled Cowboys in their wildcard game on Monday Night football. The 45-year-old QB will be a free agent in the 2023 off-season, but nobody’s sure if he will play another snap in the National Football league. And now Brady has ignited his retirement rumors as he ended his post-match press conference with a ‘thank you’ note hinting at retirement from football.

It’s been a disastrous season for the veteran QB after he unretired to come back and play football for the Tampa Bay team. He and his team looked out of sync and out of rhythm throughout the season. Furthermore, the team’s endless injuries and an unexpected pre-season coaching change have proven to be costly as they went from a Top-5 team to a mere sub .500 team.

The 15-time Pro Bowler had to carry his team’s offense to make up for their non-existing running game and an average defense. He did have some help from his two Pro Bowl-caliber wide receivers, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but other than that, he didn’t have much support. The rookies, RB Rachaad White and TE Cade Otton, showed promising flashes but will still need time to improve to their full potential.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, the Buccaneers QB Tom Brady at first said that he will not be thinking about his future immediately since he’s trying to take it one day at a Time.

“I’mma go home and get a good night sleep as good as I can tonight,” said Tom Brady about his future plan. “It’s been a lot of focus on this game so… It’ll be just one day at a time… truly.”

However, after a few questions, he ended the press conference abruptly with an ambiguous ‘thank you’ note. “I love this organization. It’s a great place to be, thank you, everybody, for welcoming me… and just very grateful for the respect and I hope I gave the same thing back to you guys. So thank you very much, I appreciate it,” said Brady before walking off the podium in a hurry.

The future of Tom Brady is uncertain for now. He’s been linked with multiple teams, including the Las Vegas Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers, but at 45 years of age, one would think retirement is certainly near for the legendary quarterback.
