The Dallas Cowboys have done it! They have beaten the ‘frauds’ allegations since they defeated the Tom Brady-led Buccaneers in the wildcard game. This is Dak Prescott’s second-ever playoff victory and Dallas’ first postseason victory since January 2019. The Dallas-based franchise entered the game as road favorites and demolished the Buccaneers in a 31-14 victory.

Dak Prescott, who was heavily criticized throughout the regular season for his inconsistency, came up big time and delivered a stunning performance. The 29-year-old QB threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns while completing a staggering 75.8% of his passes. He also rushed for one more TD and finished the game with a whopping 143.3 passer rating.

The final score doesn’t do justice to the domination Mike McCarthy‘s team showed the entire game. The Cowboys went to the locker room at halftime with an 18-0 lead despite their kicker missing 3 extra point attempts in the first half. The Bucs showed no sign of life for three quarters and at one time trailed by 24 points. Nonetheless, they managed to save their dignity by scoring a couple of touchdowns in garbage time.

Their 5th-year tight end Dalton Schultz showed good support to his QB by catching 7 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Schultz, by the way, is playing on a franchise tag and has now proved himself worthy of a second contract.

Even though the Cowboys were road favorites to win their wildcard matchup against the Buccaneers, many experts believed they would lose because of their tricky yet expensive signal caller Dak Prescott.

Nevertheless, they went into Raymond Jones stadium and slayed the legendary QB Tom Brady to advance to the next round of the NFL postseason. This victory got Cowboys fans celebrating on social media.

Beating Brady in the playoff was extra special for the Cowboys since this is the first time they’ve ever done it. The 45-year-old QB now holds a 7-1 record against the self-proclaimed “America’s team.” This is also the first road playoff victory for Jerry Jones‘ team since 1992.

The Cowboys have dethroned the king successfully, but now they have a giant to tame as they are preparing to face Kyle Shanahan‘s San Francisco 49ers in their divisional-round matchup this weekend.
