Even after retiring from the sport, the New England Patriots icon Tom Brady is still making headlines regularly. Recently, there were several reports suggesting the 15-time Pro Bowl QB might be considering walking away from the $375 million Fox Network deal. And now, after the reports made waves on social media, Brady has cleared the speculations about the sportscasting career.

The New York Post reporter Andrew Marchand claimed it’s possible Tom Brady might not go through with the 10-year deal with Fox during a recent episode of The Marchand and Outand Podcast.

“It was at 51 percent that he’s going to do it to 49 that he’s not going to do it with the reasoning it’s so much money he’ll try it for a year,” said Marchand. “However, I’ve talked to a couple people recently close to Brady and I kind of feel like I’m going 49% chance he does it, 51% chance he doesn’t. He doesn’t want to travel that much. Obviously, he’s going to go private.”

Marchand claimed that he just feels like the Patriots legend doesn’t want to commit to working as a sportscaster after talking to a couple of people close to Brady. However, Tom Brady has broken his silence on the rumors as he simply commented “FakeNews” under Sports Illustrated’s report on the matter. So, it seems like Brady will start to work as a sports broadcaster in the fall of 2024, as he previously said he would.

After his reports about Tom Brady quitting the Fox deal were called fake news by the Patriots legend himself, the NFL insider Andrew Marchand has explained his position. Marchand claims that he never said Brady is considering walking away from but only said what he believes the 45-year-old might be considering doing at this stage of his life.

“It is a nice compliment for other sites to credit what you report, but, in this case, we didn’t report anything. It is my opinion. Yes, informed, but it’s my stupid meter, not Brady’s,” claims Marchand. The Post reporter claims that the whole report was based on his opinions after talking to some people close to the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, but some people have twisted the reports.

Anyhow, Tom Brady is currently taking a break from professional life to spend time with his family. The 3-time league MVP QB has already mentioned that he won’t be starting his second career as a broadcaster till the fall of 2024.
