Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time. He is also one of the richest sports personalities in the world. Since retiring from the NFL, Brady has been expanding his business and adding to his $300 million net worth. He recently became a part of the ownership group of the English soccer club Birmingham City FC. Brady also became a minority owner of the NFL franchise, the Las Vegas Raiders.
The former New England Patriots QB seems to like Las Vegas as he recently bought a stake in the WNBA franchise the Las Vegas Aces. Other WNBA owners approved his bid on Monday. The actual announcement was made in March, but no further information was provided. WNBA commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, praised the acquisition in a statement following the approval. Brady himself released a statement expressing his excitement.
“I am very excited to be part of the Las Vegas Aces organization,” Brady said. He further continued by saying, “I have always been a huge fan of women’s sports, and I admire the work that the Aces’ players, staff, and the WNBA continue to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes. To be able to contribute in any way to that mission as a member of the Aces organization is an incredible honor.”
Brady announced his retirement from football earlier this year. He won seven Super Bowls and was a five-time Super Bowl MVP, along with three regular-season MVPs. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Patriots and spent 20 years with the team. Brady spent his last three years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won his final Super Bowl with them in 2020.
Tom Brady talks about the Patriots’ worst loss of the Bill Belichick era
The New England Patriots were perennial Super Bowl contenders, with Tom Brady as their main signal-caller. Since his departure from the franchise at the beginning of 2020, the Patriots have struggled to sniff the playoffs. They have started the 2023 season losing three out of their four games, with their latest loss being their worst in the head coach Bill Belichick era.
Brady talked about the loss on his Let’s Go! podcast on Monday. “It’s tough. I mean, losing in the NFL’s tough,” Brady said. “For me, watching a lot of football, every loss hurts. And believe me, if you’re part of a loss, you don’t care about anyone else’s losses. You just care about your loss. If you win, you look around and go, ‘All right, who else lost?’ So, in every building with a loss, it’s tough. It’s tough because you spent all week preparing, and it didn’t go the way you wanted.”
The Patriots lost 38-3 to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. It was their worst loss since Belichick became the team’s head coach in 2000. They haven’t been the same team since the departure of Brady. The Pats will play their next game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday and will look to bounce back from this terrible loss..
