According to recent reports, legendary quarterback Tom Brady may return to the New England Patriots next season after his exit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady joined the Bucs a couple of seasons ago after spending nearly 20 years with the Patriots where he won 6 Super Bowls. The 45-year-old came out of retirement a couple of months after the announcement earlier this year and signed a $15 million fully guaranteed contract till the end of this season.

Many believe that this will be Brady’s last season but as per The Athletic, if Brady enters the next season- which will be his 24th, the Patriots will also try to bring him back for sentimental reasons. Brady started his football career as a Patriot where he won 6 Super Bowls and it will only be fitting for the 7-time Super Bowl champion to retire with them.

Brady left the Patriots a couple of years ago after reportedly, his relationship with HC Bill Belichick went down south after he complained to teammates about the head coach’s strict way of doing things. However, with the passing of time, the two have acted as adults to mend their bond. This was evident when Brady hailed Belichick after the HC became the most successful head coach in NFL history, and Belichick returned the favor when Brady threw for career 100000 yards.

While Brady is regarded as the greatest footballer of all-time, many fans and other pundits on social media believe that his age to retire has already passed. It would be better for him to go out with his head held why if he couldn’t compete against the best anymore?

Brady is struggling with the Bucs this season in the NFC South division, which is supposed to be the easiest division and hence fans are questioning whether he would be able to survive with the Patriots in the AFC East- which is the toughest division of all.
