“I want to compete”: Watch as Tom Brady expresses ZERO regrets over decision to unretire in the off-season

Tom Brady

Tom Brady‘s decision to retire for 40-days and renege upon his decision may go down as one of the worst in the history of sports. The quarterback capped off his 22-year football career with a season in which he almost won the MVP award. However, Tom was not satisfied and he did not want to go out knowing he still had gas left in his tank.

This season has been nothing short of a nightmare for the seven-time Super Bowl champion as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been far from a championship-caliber team. With a dismal record of 4-5, the team is struggling to stay afloat in games against teams that are worse on paper.

The defense has not looked the same since their Super Bowl run and this season; the offense appears to have taken a backseat as well. With Rob Gronkowski gone, Chris Godwin not looking like his real self, and Mike Evans playing below par, Tom Brady is dealing with challenges he has never had in his 23-year career.

To make matters worse, Tom Brady has had personal struggles off the field as he got divorced from Gisele Bündchen and most recently suffered a financial setback, as his crypto portfolio in FTX may have become worthless.

Tom Brady has not lost all hope for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl prospects this season:

In a recent presser, Tom Brady stuck by his decision to return this season and is optimistic about the Buccaneers’ season going ahead. “Zero. No definitely not. I returned because I felt like I wanted to compete and I spoke to the team about it. They were excited to have me back. I don’t regret those types of things. When I commit to it, I meet it and do my best and try to give everything I can to this particular opportunity.”

The quarterback believes Tampa is not playing as well as it can. “We just haven’t played to the way we’re capable of playing.” Here’s how fans reacted to the quarterback’s statements.

Let’s hope it does not come to that.

That one he probably regrets.

Wouldn’t be the first time that he took Jimmy G’s job away from him.

Secured the bag.

Doubt if Tom Brady can hear you over those seven-championship rings of his.

It’s about time he walked off into the sunset.

The Tampa Bay Bucs take on the Seattle Seahawks at Allianz Arena in Munich. The team gets a much-deserved bye week after the game as they look to bring their season back from the brink of failure.
