“Mental therapy is a challenge”: Tom Brady acknowledges he needs help, has been in therapy to work on his issues
Tom Brady
Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time. He is known for his mental grit and competitive nature. At times, it tends to get the best of him, but his mentality on the field is similar to that of a warrior. No matter how adverse the situations may get, Tom keeps his cool, and this approach has paid off as he has come back from the biggest deficits in his career.
However, despite his mental toughness on the field, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is still human, like all of us. The quarterback has had a rough couple of months and as a result of that; he has been struggling with his own mental health issues. Tom Brady admitted to seeking professional help on the latest episode of his Let’s Go podcast.
Tom Brady is on the verge of getting a divorce from his wife, Gisele Bündchen
Tom Brady’s marital conflicts with his wife Gisele Bündchen have been publicized to a large extent with rumors floating about the issues that the two have been facing for a long time now. Press reports have suggested that Gisele is done with the quarterback and seems to be adamant about getting a divorce. This whole fiasco seems to have bothered the quarterback and has taken a toll on his mental well-being.
The quarterback on the latest edition of the Let’s Go podcast had this to say about his mental health issues, “It’s something that I’ve always continued to try to work through, and it’s obviously a challenge for me and different forms of whether it’s physical therapy or mental therapy, all those things I’ve definitely done over the years.”
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have both retained divorce lawyers, which means that either of them can file a petition to separate at any time. Tom and Gisele have not publicly addressed their issues, nor have they made any statements about them.
The reason for their divorce has been Gisele’s frustration with Tom playing year after year despite telling her he will retire. Gisele had enough when Tom decided to return after announcing his retirement earlier this year.
This season has not been an easy one for Tom either. As the Buccaneers continue to deal with injuries, the team has a record of 3-2 and will be facing off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6.
