Tom Brady is back! The quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a great game against the defending champions, the Los Angeles Rams. Going into the game, he needed just 164 yards in order to become the only QB in NFL history to reach 100,000 career passing yards.
Little did Tom Brady know he was on track to beat another record in the same game. TB12 reached the milestone halfway into the fourth quarter after passing to Leonard Fournette. However, Tom Brady remained laser-focused and had only one thing on his mind: to finish the game with a win.
The Bucs trailed 13-9 going into the game’s final minute. Tom Brady turned back the clock with one of the best game-winning drives this season. Tampa was out of timeouts and Tom had made up his mind that no matter what, he was not going to lose this game. With 44 seconds on the clock, he threw a big pass to TE Cade Otton that he caught on the 37-yard line of the Rams.
The next play went to Leonard Fournette, then 2 plays to Scotty Miller. The final drive went to Cade Otton, who caught a pass and scored a touchdown. Tom Brady had not just won Tampa Bay the game, but he had overtaken Peyton Manning in terms of career game-winning drives. TB12 has 55 drives while Peyton has 54.

This play sealed the game for the Bucs and this was a victory that the team desperately needed. In the past few weeks, the road has been rocky for Tampa, as they were looking far from the team that won the Super Bowl. The team had a bye-week and Tom finalized his divorce last week as well.
The time off appears to have helped the squad as they looked different. Tom is looking like the quarterback that everyone fears once again. His love for football has come back and his hunger to win games has come back with it. Following the game, the GOAT in his post-game presser was happy and as soon as he went up to the podium, he made a simple statement. “That was awesome. That was fuck*ing awesome.”
