Ben Volin on Tom Brady
Tom Brady has had a roller coater year this season with his sudden retirement and dramatic return just a few months later. Brady is no doubt one of the greatest to ever do it and with his laurels and talents comes intense scrutiny of his every move as a player of his caliber can change the landscape of NFL with his one decision.
For a man who does not lack for anything Brady does not seem to be enjoying it as much as we’d expect per NFL insider Ben Volin. Brady’s currently away from the Bucs facilities because of an unspecified reason which many speculate might be his ailing mother.

He has been in the news for all the wrong reasons after the Miami Dolphins were fined for tampering by making contact with Brady while he was still under contract with the Bucs and the Patriots.
Volin who was recently on FS1’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd has followed Brady through his time in Boston and in Tampa and he said-“I try not to be the body language police, but I was at Bucs practice yesterday and he looked miserable. I don’t think he loves the humidity in Tampa; it is very swampy out here every morning.“
“His buddy Gronk has retired, that’s his running mate, that’s his guy, and now he looks all over the field and he’s throwing to Kyle Rudolph, Chris Godwin is banged up and we’re not sure when he’s going to be himself again. Brady’s center goes down.”
Cowherd was questioning Volin about a article he wrote in which he questioned Brady’s commitment to the Bucs-“I do wonder where his head is at right now. It’s funny the article you mentioned, I wrote today the older Brady gets the less we criticize him. He was so good at 44, there is no doubt in our minds that if Brady is fully committed he can have a terrific season at 45, but there are definitely signs that his head is not fully into.”
Brady can only answer such questions when he returns with all that’s changed around him one might wonder should Brady the have kept his farewell permanent.
