With Father’s Day being celebrated worldwide, Tom Brady shared a few parenting tips that have helped him raise his children with his two ex-partners. More interestingly, the 45-year-old is taking lessons from his parents’ books.
Brady grew up just outside of San Francisco with his parents, Galynn and Tom Brady Sr. When asked about how involved he is in the lives of his children, he said his parents “taught me a lot of great values, and I’m trying to do the same.” Even though Brady’s life is a lot different now than how he grew up, he feels he’s still the same person.
“I’m trying to raise them with their mom—in a very loving way toward one another,” said the seven-time Super Bowl winner. He has a 15-year-old son named Jack with actress Bridget Moynahan and two children, Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10, from his ex-wife and model Gisele Bundchen.
While talking to E! News, Brady revealed, “Our kids are growing up in different ways than we grew up,” however, he wants to raise them with the “right values.”
Not too long ago, Brady revealed that he didn’t want Jack to follow up his footsteps and play football. The 14-time pro bowler feels concerned for his son, as there will be comparisons. “It’s very challenging for our kids to be involved in sports,” Brady said. “There are a lot of expectations that come with that.” However, he will not stop them from pursuing whichever career path they choose.
Continuing his train of thoughts, he further added, “I don’t think it’s fair to the kids to have expectations based on their parents; I want them to grow up as their own unique individuals.”
Brady focuses most of his retired life on his kids
For the uninitiated, Brady retired from professional football after the 2022 season ended. His post-retirement life has been pretty simple, as he now keeps himself busy with his kids while traveling around the country. Recently, they visited Disney Land and spent some quality time together.
When he’s not discussing business deals and showing up at Le Mans to cheer for Hertz, he prefers to have small talk with his youngest. Brady revealed that “it’s just the individual moments” that he shares with his kids that he loves the most. Furthermore, he also keeps track of their growth, and was shocked when they “grew two inches in two months.”
After his divorce from Gisele Bundchen last October, the two have split parenting duties. A few days ago, Brady shot a video with none other than YouTube phenomenon Mr. Beast on his luxurious yacht with his kids. Afterward, they will leave for Brazil to meet up with their mother for a wholesome holiday.
