The legendary Patriots QB Tom Brady and the Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen recently got divorced after being married for 13-long-years. But during the time they were together, the pair had each other back all the time. One time, when Brady and the Patriots lost to the Giants in a Super Bowl game, Gisele snapped back at the hecklers who dragged her then-husband’s name.
Tom Brady is the most accomplished quarterback of all time. The 45-year-old QB has won 7 Super Bowl Championships during his 23-year-long career. However, Brady failed to beat the New York Giants, led by Eli Manning both times they faced each other in the big game. In one of those losses, Brady’s then-wife Gisele Bündchen was caught on camera, throwing the Patriots’ wide receivers under the bus right after the game.
During Super Bowl 46 in 2012, the Patriots lost to the Giants 21-17 in a close game. After the game, when Brady’s then-wife Gisele Bündchen was caught on camera, snapping at a heckler. “My husband cannot f—king throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time,” yelled Gisele while waiting for the elevator.
The video footage went viral on social media and many people started to speculate that Bündchen might’ve made that comment with the Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker in her mind. For context, Welker dropped a crucial second-down catch during the final minutes of the game.

Nearly a decade later, her infamous public rant following her then-husband Tom Brady’s Super Bowl loss against the NY Giants, Gisele opened up about how it broke her heart when people speculated that her comments were aimed at Wes Welker.
“When they made it about Wes, it broke my heart,” she said in episode 5 of Tom Brady‘s documentary show Man In The Arena. “It was like, ‘Are you kidding me? That’s the hardest-working guy I know on that team.'” Wes Welker, on the other hand, revealed that he was “more mad” at himself and that he even almost agreed with Gisele’s statement.
Anyhow, time quickly rolled out and within a year after that episode aired on ESPN, Tom Brady, and Gisele Bündchen announced they were getting a divorce. And now, Brady is living his best life after retiring from football, and Gisele living her best life by making a comeback to the modeling industry.
