“Don’t buy into that s***!” Travis Kelce clarifies outlandish rumors about his breakup with Kayla Nicole, says he’s not a ‘cheap boyfriend’
Travis Kelce was accused by ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole of being a cheap boyfriend and giving her only $100 dollars during their five-year long relationship.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce is considered one of the best tight ends in the league. Despite being 6 ft 5 in tall and weighing 250 lbs, Kelce’s explosiveness, coupled with his ability to block defenders, has made him a feared player in the league.
After an amazing college career at Cincinnati, where he was named CPF Tight End of the Year, Kelce was selected by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. He led the league for tight ends in receptions and receiving yards twice.
Kelce benefitted greatly after the onboarding of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The duo gave off a very Brady-Gronkowski vibe with their amazing chemistry on the field and insane endzone connections.
Travis Kelce says he never supported his girlfriend
While Travis Kelce makes the headlines every other week for his performance on the field, his off-the-field life has also been the talk of the night a couple of times. Kelce dated model Kayla Nicole for five years before breaking up with her in 2022. People started to gossip about the reason why the couple broke up and most of them suggested it was money that was the driving factor between them.
Back in 2022, Nicole’s friends talked about the dynamic between the couple and said that Travis Kelce is cheap.“Travis is very cheap. In the beginning he tried to make Kayla ‘prove’ that she wasn’t with him for the money . . . so she had to pay half of everything. Half of every date, every trip, everything,” they said. The Super Bowl LIV champions came forward and squashed any rumors of him being cheap on The Pivot Podcast.
Kelce defended himself by saying: “How crazy is that? Don’t buy into that s***! We were in a relationship for 5 years, a hundred dollars here and a hundred dollars there wasn’t even thought about, which is ridiculous. I would never say that I was supporting her. She had a very financially stable life and what she was doing in her career.”
The 33-year-old said that Nicole was financially independent of her being a host and a model and that with wasn’t like she needed a handout. Kelce further added that he is currently single and would like to remain so for some time following his very public breakup. The Chiefs’ tight end declared that he is focused on enjoying himself and football.
