As the Kanas City Chiefs tight end and Grammy winner fairytale romance made a stir on social media, not everyone seems to digest the news. And by ‘not everyone,’ we mean Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, who seemed to have thanked “therapy” for helping her digest this massive news.

During a recent conversation with PEOPLE magazine, the Chiefs’ tight-end end ex and former Los Angeles Laker reported, shared how she felt about her ex-boyfriend dating the pop star. She revealed that if she hadn’t been in therapy before the dating rumours hit the headlines, she might not have handled the news well.

Kelce dated the fitness influencer on and off between 2017 to 2022. In fact, after their last and major breakup, she started going into therapy. She added:

My abs were amazing, I had a six-pack. And it was like, 'I had never felt so bad in my life.

While preparing herself to handle the news headlines, Nicole told herself to “buckle the f**k up,” as she had to handle the media craze surrounding the massive romance between her ex and his new girlfriend and star, Taylor Swift. Nicole didn’t share her feelings on the whole matter until recently, but she did unfollow Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes‘s wife, who were photographed having a girls’ night with Swift and her friends in New York City.

She also issued an open letter to the community of Black women, as she fought back against the backlash and humiliation that she faced amidst the highly publicized dating of her ex-boyfriend and the Grammy winner.

From holding hands publicly to kissing publicly, it seems like the star-studded couple has taken their relationship to the next level, being truly open about their affection towards each other in front of the media. While spending quality time with friends, the pop sensation was captured leaning in to kiss her ‘man’ on the cheek, as he gave a huge smile, whose picture is going viral over social media.

Despite Kelce’s mother’s desire to want her son to be private about his relationship, the Chiefs’ tight end and Swift are spotted indulging in PDA during their lovely outings in New York City.

As the image of Swift kissing her beau caught the eyes of Swifties, they became obsessed with the picture, saying they had all been waiting for this moment for a long time. The picture was captured after the Chiefs’ game last Sunday, in which Swift is wearing an ‘87‘ jersey number in the Chiefs’ team color styled with a friendship bracelet with Travis’s number on it, which he made for her.
