Former NFL player Travis Rudolph has been acquitted of all charges against him. He was accused of committing the murder of Jean-Jacques and injuring Tyler Robinson, who ended up in the hospital.
The incident took place on June 7, 2021, when Rudolph was confronted by four men in front of his Palm Beach County house. Jean Jaques and Tyler Robinson were part of it, along with Keshaun Jones and Chris Lowe.
Earlier that evening, Rudolph had a fight with his then-girlfriend, Dominique Jones, who is the sister of Keshaun Jones. Rudolph allegedly hit her, and in retaliation, the four men engaged the former Giants player.
After a heated argument between the men, Rudolph brought out his AR rifle and fired 39 shots, of which one killed Jean-Jacques. Eyewitness Ruben Estes, who is also the neighbor, testified that he saw Rudolph run out with a rifle. Moreover, according to him, the four men did not carry any weapons with them. But police later revealed that Tyler Robinson did indeed carry a concealed gun.
Dominique, during the trials, accepted that she, in the heat of the moment, told his brother to “shoot his (Rudolph) S*** up.” Keshaun said that they just wanted an apology.
After the judge cleared Rudolph of his charges, he said he was “at peace with everything“, and “it’s an unfortunate situation.” ” I’m at peace with it all. Like, it’s just an unfortunate situation; like, I mean, to this day, it’s like a blur to me; like, I never thought in a million years that I would ever have to kill anyone.”
Rudolph celebrated his release with an Instagram live to show his appreciation for everyone’s support.

Rudolph claims he only protected his family and wants to return to playing football again
A murder Even if it’s for self-defense, it’s hard to forget, but Travis Rudolph is trying his best to move on. While answering questions in the latest episode of the Pivot Podcast about what was going through his mind when he was shooting, Rudolph replied, “I didn’t even realize I shot that many times. It’s the adrenaline, and you don’t think about what’s going on; you just eliminate the threat.”
Rudolph’s life as a football player came crashing down because of the incident. Before the incident, the 27-year-old was a wide receiver and played for Florida State in college. He signed with the New York Giants in 2017 but was let go after just one year to join the Miami Dolphins.
Due to COVID-19 and limited chances, he was not getting much game, and then the shooting happened. Since then, Rudolph has yet to kick a ball, but he hopes to return one day and play professionally.
