Lamar Jackson just dropped a huge bomb on the Ravens hours before head coach John Harbaugh was to sit down with a bunch of reporters during the NFL’s annual league meeting. The self-represented quarterback released a statement on Twitter giving a crystal clear update about his ongoing situation in Baltimore.
He wrote: “A letter to my Fans. I want to first thank you all for all of the love and support you consistently show towards me. All of you are amazing and I appreciate y’all so much. I want you all to know not to believe everything you read about me. Let me personally answer your questions in regards to my future plans. As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value.
“Any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the super bowl. You all are great but I had to make a business decision that was best for my family and I. No matter how far I go or where my career takes me, I’ll continue to be close to my fans of Baltimore Flock nation and the entire State of Maryland. You’ll See me again.”
Harbaugh remained positive during the entire interview and said he can salvage the relationship between the team and Jackson. He also added that he is still building the team with him under center but also mentioned that the future can’t be predicted and that he loves Lamar Jackson.

Lamar Jackson’s nutrition and sleep called into question
Since Lamar Jackson asked the team for a trade on March 2, the Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on him to give him the opportunity to seek out interested teams. Veteran journalist Chris Mortensen wrote on his Twitter account that a couple of teams are worried about Jackson’s “sleep habits and nutrition” that contributed to him being injury prone.
Lamar Jackson missed five games last season due to a PCL injury and his 2021 campaign was also cut short by an ankle injury. Team owners are worried about the output from the 2019 NFL MVP given the investment they would have to do to get him on the roster. In just his second season, Jackson won the league MVP and has been among the top signal-callers in the league.
Teams would have to give up at least two first-round picks in addition to one or two players and another couple of draft picks. Many fans believe there is a conspiracy in the league and he is being cut out because he is Black. Fans argued that Aaron Rodgers revealed he did Ayahuasca and no one batted an eye but now Jackson’s sleep and nutrition are being called into question.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft claimed that American Rapper Meek Mill texted him about Jackson showing interest to play for the team. Kraft did not scrap the idea but simply said it’s all up to Bill Belichick to decide. This whole thing is getting more and more interesting day by day. Let’s see what new updates come in the next few days!
