The first round of the 2023 NFL draft has been concluded. There were a lot of shocking picks that had fans scratching their heads in disbelief. The Houston Texans had the 2nd and 3rd overall picks in which they selected QB C.J. Stroud and OLB Will Anderson Jr. respectively. Additionally, the Seahawks used their fifth pick to select CB Devon Witherspoon ahead of stars like Jalen Carter and Tyree Wilson.

However, the highlight of the first round of the draft was definitely Kyle Stickles. This young man was neither a player nor a head coach nor a general manager, but generated more buzz than some of the players selected in the draft.

He announced the Jets’ 15th overall pick, the defensive end from Iowa Will McDonald. The Jets considered him to be the best pass rusher in the draft. “We feel like he is one of the most dynamic, if not the most dynamic, pass rushers in this draft,” Jets general manager Joe Douglas said.

“A great combination of skill and production and athleticism. I think it was on full display at the Senior Bowl and all throughout his career in Ames. I’m fired up to add him to our strong unit and keep adding to the line of scrimmage.”

McDonald had 34 sacks in his collegiate career and 10 forced fumbles. He will join the Jets who are packed with firepower on the defense and most likely are en route to winning the Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers under the center.

Kyle Stickles was one of the lucky kids from the Make-A-Wish Foundation who had the opportunity to announce the first-round pick of his favorite team, the New York Jets. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell introduced him on the stage and Stickles started hyping everyone up by screaming, “Let’s Go! Let’s Go!”

With the confidence of an experienced orator, Kyle Stickles took the stage and announced with zeal, “With the 15th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets! select Will McDonald, linebacker, Iowa State. Let’s Go! Yeah! Let’s Go!”

Everyone on the Internet was amazed by the energy in young Kyle and he instantly got viral. Fans said that he was the only worthwhile thing to watch in a rather long and boring draft process. Some even said that he should take over the entire draft coverage. Even Super Bowl LVII MVP Patrick Mahomes lauded the young man.

The Jets are not locked and loaded to wreak havoc on the field in 2023. With Aaron Rodgers being the quarterback, fans are expecting them to win it all and nothing short of the Lombardi Trophy will be expected of the 4x NFL MVP and the team. Let’s see how the Jets perform in the coming season!
