“Has Tom Brady ever been pregnant?”: Twitter goes bonkers as Serena Williams says she would have been like Brady if she wasn’t doing “physical labor” of expanding her family
Serena Williams and Tom Brady
Serena Williams is one of the biggest names in the world of sports. The 23-time Grand Slam Champion has built a legendary career that will be etched in gold in the history of tennis. The superstar recently announced that she will all it quits after this year’s US Open and as expected, tributes started pouring in from around the world.
Without a doubt, she is one of the greatest ever to play the game. Serena has been credited for inspiring innumerable men and women across the world and not many will doubt it. In a recent interaction with Vogue, Serena talked about the challenges of being a woman athlete and how her journey would have been different if she was a man.
“Equality is a false good”: Twitter goes crazy after Serena Williams mention Tom Brady while talking about the differences between male & female athletes
“Believe me, I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family. I don’t think it’s fair. If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family,” Serena said. She went on to add that she would have been like Tom Brady if her gender was different.
“Maybe I’d be more of a Tom Brady if I had that opportunity. Don’t get me wrong: I love being a woman, and I loved every second of being pregnant with Olympia. I was one of those annoying women who adored being pregnant and was working until the day I had to report to the hospital—although things got super complicated on the other side,” Serena further added.
As expected, Serena’s views ended up grabbing a lot of attention and reactions on social media.
The reactions were mixed as many hailed Serena for spitting facts, several fans called her out for unnecessarily bringing gender into the debate. As far as Brady is concerned, the man retired from the NFL earlier this year and in a matter of weeks, decided to make a come back.
Brady is 45 and is going as strong as ever. He has won more championships than any single franchise and much to the delight of football fans around the world, he ain’t done yet.
