Zach Wilson, this one name has made the headlines quite a lot in recent times, more often than not for all the wrong reasons. Who can forget the infamous homie-hopper saga that quadrupled his popularity overnight.
However, as the preseason approached, the focus shifted towards how the star quarterback will perform for the New York-based franchise. He has the talent to deliver big time but much to the disappointment of his admirers, the QB has started the preseason in the worst possible manner.
MRI will decide Zach Wilson’s fate this season
Sustaining an injury just at the beginning of preseason is indeed the worst possible way one can start a season which is exactly what has happened in Zach’s case. The Jets recently took on the Eagles in the preseason opener and during the game, Wilson ended up sustaining a leg injury.
As reported by NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Coach Robert Saleh claimed that Wilson’s ACL is “supposed to be intact.” He further said, “I‘m going to let the MRI play out and we’ll figure it out Saturday.” Hopefully, the injury wouldn’t turn out to be a season ending one because if it does, the Jets will have a hard time accomplishing what they are aiming for in the coming season.
