The NFL is one of the biggest leagues on the planet and Patrick Mahomes is one of the poster boys of the league. The superstar quarterback who features for the Kansas City Chiefs has guided his team to important wins on innumerable occasions.
The world knows that on the field, Mahomes is a fierce competitor who can turn any game on its head at any given time. However, off the field, the man is of the nicest football stars and those who think otherwise would be compelled to change their opinion after what the Kansas City QB did recently.

“He is my favorite player on the Chiefs”: Myka Eilers on Patrick Mahomes
In the latest episode of “My Wish” series on ESPN, we came across a 12-year-old Myka Eilers. Myka has already battled through a lot of health issues. After she was diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis, she had to undergo two open heart surgeries, but the brave girl is going strong as ever. However, the little football fan had an unfulfilled wish.
She wanted to meet her favorite quarterback Patrick Mahomes as she wants to be the the first woman to play in the NFL. “He’s like my favorite player on the Chiefs and I want to become a quarterback in the NFL,” Eilers said. Being the gentleman he is, Patrick obliged.
Eilers was taken to the Chiefs locker room where she got her personalized Chiefs gear and then she headed out for practice where Mahomes was waiting for her. “Don’t take my spot, though. You can’t throw it too good,” Patrick told Eilers. The little fan had a chance to ask a few questions from her favorite QB.
She asked him what went through his mind when he threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Kelce in the playoff clash against the Bills. “I was almost in shock. I just ran to Travis and hugged him. I was just like, ‘Man, I love you. We’ll have this forever,‘” Mahomes said.
Indeed, it is simply heartwarming to see a young fan getting her wish fulfilled and Mahomes trying hard to make the day the best ever for the kid who has had a really tough life till this point.
