The 2022/23 NFL season is coming towards a thrilling end, with teams looking to seal their spots in the playoffs. The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a dramatic turnaround to their season as they won 20-16 against the Tennessee Titans in the final regular season game.
The victory sealed their entry into the playoffs as they clinched the AFC South title. Jaguars overcame a 10-16 deficit at the end of the third quarter to set up a wildcard playoff encounter.
With about three minutes remaining in the second quarter, things looked grim for the Jaguars as they trailed 10-0. Owner Shad Khan, too, seemed to have given up hope as he was caught taking a nap in the owner’s boxes.

The cameras hilariously spotted the American businessman dozing off, only to be woken up seconds later to an immense roar from the Jaguars fans. However, he had Trevor Lawrence to thank for waking him up, as the quarterback linked up with Christian Kirk to clinch a touchdown.
The loud celebrations woke Shad Khan up, and the owner seemed to have regained his enthusiasm. The cameras then caught him celebrating the moment and certainly brought him to his senses.
Much like any other incident, this too was spotted very distinctly by the fans who were quick to pounce with their own theories. While some suggested that the 72-year-old was drunk, some felt that he was praying for his team’s chances in what was a make-or-break encounter.
If the latter theory is to be taken up, Shad Khan’s prayers definitely worked like a charm and the Jaguars have left their worse fortunes behind them as of now.

Khan too deserves a major share of the plaudits for his franchise’s turnaround, especially because of the hiring of Doug Pederson.
Pederson has weaved his magic, as they ended up with a 9-8 record despite a bumpy 4-8 start to the season. The veteran head coach will now hope to go further into the playoffs and make an unlikely claim for the Super Bowl if possible.
