Ryan Tannehill will become a free agent in 2024 as per his contract extension with the Titans in 2020.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is apparently on the trade block. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Titans are looking to trade the 34-year-old after a subpar season last year.
Ryan Tannehill started in 12 games in 2022 and had a .500 winning percentage. He aggravated his Week 7 ankle injury in Week 15 and was placed on injury reserved for the remainder of the season.
The Titans signed a four-year extension worth $118 million, with $62 million guaranteed with Ryan Tannehill back in 2020. There is still one year left on the contract but looks like the Titans want to go a different way given the steep drop in production from the quarterback.

Fans believe no team in the league is stupid enough to trade for Ryan Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill was selected eighth overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 2012 NFL draft. After seven years with the Dolphins, which did not include a single winning season, he was finally traded to the Titans in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2020 draft and a seventh-round pick in 2019.
Tannehill found his footing in his first year in Tennessee where he won the 2019 Comeback Player of the Year award. The 34-year-old signal caller also led the Titans to the No. 1 seed in the AFC in 2021. However, he couldn’t replicate the same in 2022.
There’s a very slim chance that the team will trade for Ryan Tannehill because of his huge $36 million cap hit. There are a lot of great quarterbacks in this year’s draft and given his age, not a lot of teams would be interested in signing him to their roster and that too with such a huge cap hit.
Fans had a field day with the news about Ryan Tannehill being shopped by the Titans. Fans hilariously roasted the former first-round pick and basically said that no teams in the NFL will trade for him.
Ryan Tannehill is set to receive a base salary of $27 million in 2023. While he has shown good leadership skills, Tannehill’s age is the main concern for teams to not trade for him. Not everybody ages like Tom Brady!
