As Arch Manning steps into the college football arena, he is set to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, his father, and uncles. The 18-year-old quarterback announced the news himself that he has finally chosen to join the Texas Longhorns as his college football team.
Arch Manning had a number of options to choose from in the form of UCLA, Georgia, Alabama and Clemson, but the youngster decided to go with Texas. Manning is a nephew of Eli and Peyton Manning, a grandson of Archie Manning and a son of former Ole Miss wide receiver Cooper Manning.

Given the popularity his family has had over the years, it is inevitable to take the spotlight off the youngster growing up. However, his family have been able to do that for the majority of his career, as is evident from his social media life.
Arch has been considered a top prospect since he was in middle school and threw for 5,731 yards and 72 touchdowns in three years of high school football.
“Committed to the University of Texas. #HookEm,” Manning wrote in his first tweet from a verified account.
“He made this decision on his own. This was his decision to make,” Nelson Stewart, Manning’s high school coach, as reported by ESPN. “I’m just happy he’s where he needs to be. He’s an 18-year-old kid. There was a lot on his shoulders. Took his time and showed a lot of maturities. When it comes to that family, the choice was his.”
