New day, new deal, new owners. The Denver Broncos are all set to get a new set of owners and we all know, to get your hands on the ownership of an NFL franchise, you need to be a big shot, a multi-billionaire which is exactly what the Denver-based franchise will be getting.

Rob Walton, the eldest son of the founder of Walmart Mr Sam Walton recently announced that his ownership group will be buying the Broncos for a whopping $4.5 Billion. Moreover, on behalf of the Walton-Penner family ownership group, Rob announced the inclusion of former US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice to the Broncos ownership group.

The Pat Bowlen Trust has officially agreed to sell the franchise, however, approval from the NFL is still pending. Announcing to the world the addition of Condoleezza to the ownership group, Rob said, “a highly respected public servant, accomplished academic and corporate leader, Secretary Rice is well known as a passionate and knowledgeable football fan who has worked to make the sport stronger and better.

She is the daughter of a football coach and served on the inaugural College Football Playoff Committee. She moved to Denver with her family when she was 12 years old and went on to attend the University of Denver for both college and graduate school.

After her inclusion was confirmed, Rice also issued a statement talking about how big the opportunity is and how excited she is to join the owners group. “Football has been an integral part of my life since the moment it was introduced to me, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Broncos organization today,” she claimed.
