The Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is currently one of the best wide receivers in the league. By now, Hill has been to Pro Bowls, won a Super Bowl ring, and got a big contract but when he was just a rookie in the league, Hill was blown away by the New England Patriots icon Tom Brady‘s pregame routine and wished that he was Brady’s teammate.
“I really wanted to play against Tom Brady, because of how hyped his pregame is you know. And once I actually had a chance to see him, it was nuts bro. It was like a movie. Like rookie year, I see Tom Brady come out. He’s like running right and he runs to the end and the camera is like a lot of cameras follow him and I’m like, ‘what he finna do’?” said Hill in 150th episode of All The Smoke Podcast. “Then he just starts screaming and turning up and I’m like, Yo… Damn! I wish I was on his team.”
When Tyreek Hill was a rookie with the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2016, Tom Brady was still playing with the Patriots. Hill would eventually go on to face Tom Brady twice in the postseason and he would lose both times. Most notably, Hill and the Chiefs badly lost to Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2021 Super Bowl.
And now, the 15-time Pro Bowler Tom Brady has retired from the sport. Hill is now playing with the Dolphins looking to help the Miami-based football team to a Super Bowl victory in the upcoming NFL season.
Tyreek Hill is looking to have a historical year in Miami

The 7-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill will be entering his 8th season in the league in the upcoming season. He is now looking to register a historic season with the Dolphins.
Hill wants to be the first wide receiver in history to register 2,000 receiving yards in a single season. Currently, the Detroit Lions legend Calvin Johnson has the record for most receiving yards in a single season with 1964 yards in 16 games. Hill would have 17 games to break that record.
Last season, Hill caught 119 passes for 1710 receiving yards (both career-high) and 7 touchdowns. He averaged 100.6 per game. Now, Hill needs to average 117.6 yards to break that 2000 receiving yards record.
The 5-time first-team All-Pro pass catcher certainly has the right group around him to break that record. If he can stay healthy for the entire 2023 NFL season, he has an outside shot at breaking Johnson’s record.
