On Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs, led by their All-Pro quarterback Patrick Mahomes, went against the Miami Dolphins in their wildcard matchup. In the game, the threat of Tyreek Hill was neutralized by the Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed.

Sneed locked up the All-Pro wide receiver for most part of the game. But one of his particular reps led to fans going crazy on social media. During the second quarter of the game, the Dolphins were facing a 6-point deficit and were facing a crucial 3rd down and 13 from their own 17-yard line.

During the crucial moment in the game, Hill was apparently involved in blocking duty and got bullied by L’Jarius Sneed. The Chiefs cornerback pushed Hill near the line of scrimmage and tossed him around without committing a penalty. He did it all in the extreme cold weather in Kansas City. Furthermore, Sneed locked up Hill the entire game and went the whole matchup without allowing a single touchdown. As a result, Tyreek Hill only managed to catch 5 passes for 62 yards and 1 touchdown, which is pretty low for his standards in a knockout game.

Following the game, even the Chiefs head coach Andy Reid highly praised Sneed during the post-game press conference. Reid went as far as to imply Sneed is the best cornerback in the entire league.

You don't see Tyreek get knocked down very often, but Sneed did that. I have a hard time believing there's another corner as good as him in this league. He's really playing well.

Thanks to Sneed’s heroic efforts in the game, the AFC West division champions managed to secure a comfortable 26-7 victory against the Dolphins on Saturday. They will expect a similar kind of performance from Sneed in the divisional round.

Nonetheless, with their victory, the Kansas City-based football team qualified for the second round of the postseason. Now, they will have to win 3 more games to defend their championship.

The Chiefs will now wait to find out their opponents in the divisional round. Their opponents will be determined based on the result of the wildcard game between the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday.
