The Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins AFC Wild Card matchup on Saturday will be a fiery one. The game will be headlined by Tyreek Hill‘s return to his old stomping ground. Hill spent six years in Kansas City and won one Super Bowl with them. He was one of their best players and his connection with QB Patrick Mahomes was sensational.

However, Hill decided to move on from the Chiefs at the beginning of 2022 and joined the Dolphins in the offseason. The superstar wideout admittedly did not want to be Mahomes’ side chick and decided to try out the trade market. Two years since the trade, both parties have benefitted tremendously. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year, whereas Hill has been at his absolute best in Miami.

Ahead of their game on Saturday, Hill revealed that he is finding it hard to connect with his former teammates and joked that his former teammate, Travis Kelce is “too famous” to talk to him. The Chiefs’ tight end is currently dating superstar Taylor Swift.

Hill said on Thursday:

I texted Kelce. He still hasn’t texted me back. He’s probably still on his Taylor Swift thing… but yeah man, those guys are too famous for me now, I guess.
Tyreek Hill to the reporters

Hill was a unanimous selection for this year’s All-Pro team. He had a tremendous season as he racked up 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. He led the league in both categories and was a huge reason for the Dolphins’ success this year.

Travis Kelce had huge praise for his former Chiefs’ teammate Tyreek Hill

The Miami Dolphins’ visit to the Arrowhead Stadium to play the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday will also mark the return of Tyreek Hill to his former home stadium. The Dolphins’ wide receiver played for the Chiefs for six seasons and won a Super Bowl in 2020. However, since leaving the team in 2022, Hill has had nothing but praise for his former teammates and vice-versa.

Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ superstar tight end, spoke about his former teammate ahead of their Wild Card matchup on Saturday.

Kelce said:

I expect KC to give him nothing but love, until he's putting up a peace sign or something like that, then he might hear a few boos. Who he was for this community, it speaks volumes. Every single kids camp he had, he made it his effort to go out and shake those hands and give those kids an experience they'll never have again.

Both these teams ended up with a record of 11-6. However, since the Chiefs won their division and the Dolphins finished second in theirs, Kansas City will host the game on Saturday.
