“I’m tired of seeing it,” Patriots legend WHACKS Mac Jones for his inability to control emotions on the field with his teammates

Vince Wilfork and Mac Jones

Two-time Super Bowl champion Vince Wilfork has recently slammed Patriots QB Mac Jones for his frequent outbursts on the football field toward his teammates. Not everything is going well for Jones as he had led the Patriots’ offense to some mixed results this season. The team is currently 7-7 for the season and is fighting for a wild card spot in the AFC.

Over the last few weeks, irrespective of the result, Jones‘ on-field behavior has been harsh toward his teammates, and has voiced his frustration many times mid-game. While many may dismiss this as game rage, it looks like this character trait of his isn’t much liked by former players. Patriots legend Vince Wilfork expresses his views on Jones’ rant and said that he is tired of it.

Speaking with Tom Giles, Wilfork said that Jones is the leader of the team and as a quarterback, he can’t be frustrated every single week despite his individual performance. He said that he is speaking on behalf of everyone when he says that he is tired of seeing Jones’ rants.

“I’m tired of [it]. You’re a leader of this team, you’re a quarterback, and you can’t be frustrated every single week, every single play. I don’t care if you’re getting the play call in late or whatever it may be …At this point, I’m tired of seeing it. I think a lot of other people are tired of seeing it, and I’m here to say it: We’re tired of seeing it,” Wilfork told NBC Sports Boston.

Apart from Wilfork, yet other Patriots legend Julian Edelman too heavily criticized Jones for his on-field antics. Edelman was already frustrated after seeing the Patriots’ last-minute blunder against the Raiders where Jones attempted a failed tackle that led to the Raiders’ game-winning touchdown. “You know what, he also doesn’t practice the antics after plays and waving off coaches and all these little pi**y faces and stuff. Like he doesn’t practice that, and he does it,” he said.

Despite not playing at their best in the last few weeks, the Patriots are still very well in contention for the playoffs. They are currently 7-7 for the season and are 3rd in the AFC East division. They are just a game behind the second-placed Dolphins and if they win their remaining three games, they will pummel the Dolphins and clinch the wild card spot.

This week, they will face a mighty test against the Bengals and will then face the likes of the Dolphins and conference leaders, the Bills. Beating any of the three teams won’t be easy for the Patriots but if they want to make it to the playoffs to play the best, they will have to beat the best.
