Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre has been involved in a major scandal wherein he has been allegedly found tampering and stealing money from the Public Welfare Fund to build a Volleyball Stadium at his daughter’s college.
In this major scandal the name of governor Phil Bryant has also emerged along with text messages between him and Brett Favre where it can be seen as Bryant assuring Favre this will not be leaked to the media.

Now popular American journalist Mina Kimes has made her thoughts clear on what she thinks of the entire Brett Favre fiasco. Mina Kimes pointed out that what Favre did was not stupidity but was ‘cruel’ as he knew very well what he was doing.
“This story has been going on for a while there has been done excellent reporting in Mississippi today about the diversion of funds which were supposed to go to the poorest people in the poorest state of the United States. What’s new is Mississippi have reported that Favre who has denied knowing where the money came from and denied having met the governor (Phil Bryant) but there are texts with the woman who diverted the funds (Nancy New) saying hey I hope the media doesn’t find out about this as well as texts showing he met with the governor,” Mina Kimes said.
“You do the math. Look it’s easy to laugh at the incompetence of the cover up but it’s corruption, it’s cruelty, it’s another example of the halves of this country taking from the other half without any consequences. And we are talking about this because it’s Brett Favre, a superstar. But his stardom is definitely diminished now, it should’ve been diminished after the sexual allegations but this to me forever tarnishes his legacy.”
