“I was cyber-bullied,” When Jenn Sterger REVEALED a surprising detail about Brett Favre’s “S*XTING SCANDAL”
Glenn Sterger on the Brett Favre sexting scandal
Today Brett Favre has been retired for over a decade now, after multiple retirements that were short-lived this one seems permanent but you may never know with Favre. Although his bust in the Pro Football Hall of Fame gives us a solid indication that this one may not be reversed. The Hall of Fame induction was well deserved as the man known as “The Gunslinger” was one of the best to ever do it on the field but his off-field controversies are a separate story.
The most infamous is the sexting scandal involving former Playboy and Maxim model Jenn Sterger. The scandal stemmed from a Deadspin report released in 2010 that said Favre while playing for the New York Jets in 2008 sent inappropriate photos of himself to Sterger who at the time was the Jets’ sideline reporter. The report stated that Sterger believed that she had received lewd pictures and voicemails from Favre who left the Jets after only one season with the Gangrene.
There was a formal NFL investigation into the matter and Favre was fined $50,000 for “failure to cooperate,” although the NFL couldn’t confirm that it was Favre who had sent those texts. The matter somewhat damaged Favre’s legacy but he was mostly unscathed in the bigger picture Sterger wasn’t so lucky per her.

“I’ve never met Brett Favre,” Jenn Sterger on the former Green Bay Packers quarterback
Sterger in 2018 spoke about the sexting scandal and per CBS Sports the sports presenter talked about her non-existent involvement in the scandal and how she still was on the receiving end of what we now know as cyberbullying- “A lot of people don’t realize I’ve never met Brett Favre,” she said. “I don’t know him. I’ve never met him personally, never shaken his hand, never said hello, never introduced myself. So to this day, a lot of people don’t realize I was cyber-bullied. I wasn’t his mistress, I wasn’t his girlfriend, we had no physical interaction at all, and I think that that’s something, to this day, that still shocks people.”
Sterger who’s now married to former baseball player Cody Decker had also added then that she was happy that the NFL had conducted an investigation into the matter in 2015 which was very helpful in clearing all the doubt that she was an active participant and had not done anything wrong and still to this day tries to rectify anyone who believes otherwise –“They also cleared my name and said that I didn’t do anything wrong, I’m not the Brett Favre girl. I tell people that every chance I get. Including dumb drunks at a bar. People who meet me say, ‘You’re a lot different than I thought you would be.’ I say, ‘What were you expecting?'”
Sterger now works for the AEW as a presenter and has been fighting for change for women working in sports.
