Brett Favre has made a name for himself at the highest level. The former star quarterback played in the NFL for as many as two decades. He spent most of his time with the Green Bay Packers and his numbers are enough to prove that he is indeed one of the legends of the great game.

However, Favre has been involved in a number of controversies as well throughout his career. In May this year, it was reported by Fox News that the Mississippi Department of Human Services is set to go after Brett and 37 more people or companies for misspending funds that were supposed to be utilized for the welfare of poor families.

Post that, U.S. House Rep. Bennie Thompson urged the US Department of Justice to launch an investigation into the allegations against Phil Bryant and Brett Favre. While we can expect a few more twists and turns in the case, what we are going on shed light upon is another controversy that nearly tainted his image forever.

It all began more than a decade ago when Deadspin posted a video suggesting that Jennifer Sterger received a number of lewd images and voicemails allegedly from Brett Favre. This was indeed the biggest news story at that time and because Favre’s name was also dragged in controversies like alleged vicodin addiction and heavy drinking, the se*ting controversy might have been the final nail in the coffin.

After this, NFL launched a proper investigation into the matter due to which Favre was fined $50,000 for “failure to cooperate.” Post that, Favre left the Jets after just a solitary season. Jenn, a Maxim and Playboy model as well as a well-known TV personality had joined the Jets back in 2008 as a game-day host.

On various occasions, Jennifer has openly stated that she has an identity of her own and does not want people to address her or remember her as the “Brett Favre girl.” While the NFL legend got out of that controversy, the latest “welfare fund scandal” is still no way near conclusion.
