Zach Sieler was part of the Dolphins’ loss to the Bills during the NFL wild-card weekend. The Dolphins DL gave everything to sneak in a win for the clear underdogs and even scored a late touchdown through a fumble recovery.
This was the first touchdown of Sieler’s career. The Dolphins’ DL scored the touchdown through a fumble recovery by Eric Rowe.
The 27-year-old was ecstatic after scoring his first touchdown. However, his wife Hannah was even more excited and started to break down with tears due to sheer blissful happiness.
Though the Dolphins lost the playoff game, Sieler gave it his best. The Dolphins DL had also promised his wife the game ball if he were to score a touchdown.
Hannah Sieler took to Twitter to share her happiness and excitement as she was crying relentlessly. “ALL IM SAYING IS @zachsieler PROMISED ME I WOULD GET THE GAME BALL IF HE EVER SCORED A TOUCHDOWN #finsup,” the tweet read.
The 27-year-old’s wife also added a video of showing herself crying with happiness and was completely proud of her husband’s achievements. “I’m shaking and crying. OMG. Are you kidding me. A WHOLE TOUCHDOWN,” the video caption read.
Zach Sieler’s touchdown couldn’t help the Dolphins get a win against the Bills
The Dolphins-Bills game was a tightly contested game where both sides looked equal. However, the Dolphins were clear underdogs who gave a tough fight to the hosts’ Bills.
Unfortunately, the Dolphins lost the game due to clear miscommunication from HC Mike McDaniel resulting in a delay of game penalty and many other small mistakes that contributed towards the overall tally.
Zach Sieler’s fumble recovery touchdown gave new hope to the Dolphins as they gained the lead. However, they couldn’t hold on to it and lost the game with a score of 34-31.
The Buffalo Bills have progressed to the next round whereas the Dolphins will return home and think about all the small blunders that could have cost them the most important game of the season.
It was a bad game for the Dolphins but a great game for Zach Sieler as he scored his first touchdown. Defensive players scoring touchdowns is pretty rare and Sieler did it in the playoffs while his wife watched with pure happiness.
