Zach Wilson, whom the New York Jets planned to trade this offseason, hasn’t found any team interested in signing him.

Given that this offseason is considered quarterback-heavy, teams are focused on occupying prospective QBs instead of spending their energy on a quarterback who struggled throughout with consistency.

When the Jets drafted him back in 2021, they expected him to take the lead. However, he failed to live up to expectations and struggled immensely with consistency, resulting in the Jets’ desire to trade him this offseason. This meant all the 24-year-old had to do was find another team interested in him to continue his NFL career.

Unfortunately, none of the teams have shown any interest in signing the quarterback. The reason, if you ask, could be his fully guaranteed $5.5 million salary, as confirmed by ESPN analyst Rich Cimini.

For now, Wilson is looking for his release so that he can move forward with his future and a good job, with no strings attached. The only team with a crucial need for a quarterback is the Kansas City Chiefs, but they haven’t made any moves suggesting this link.

In his tenure in the league, Wilson has hardly proven himself capable or worthy of being the franchise quarterback and leading the offense. Despite being a star at BYU, the Jets quarterback struggled immensely the moment he entered the NFL.

While the quarterback struggles to find a home for the sake of his future in the NFL, fans don’t seem to bother, as they claim that even if he finds another team, the rest of his NFL career will take place as a backup only.
