Zach Wilson didn’t live up to the hype and was insignificant as the Jets’ starting QB, earlier this season. Since then, Mike White has taken the QB spot and improved the team drastically. However, White was brutally tackled in the game against the Bills, resulting in two rib fractures for the QB. Although he played the whole Jets-Bills game, the doctors haven’t cleared him for contact against the Lions on SNF.

And with reference to that, it seems Wilson is set to return as the starting QB role. Wilson has got a great opportunity to turn his season around and prove his worth.

When he was drafted, Wilson was the marquee QB for the Jets and was slated to be the next best in the league. However, inconsistent performance led to him being on the sidelines and playing backup to White.

The Jets’ QB has the confidence of his HC Robert Saleh, who had good things to say about him in the pre-match press conference. “This is just a great opportunity for him to get back on track,” head coach Robert Saleh said, “and do what we know he’s capable of.”

Wilson had a decent run as the starter for the Jets and led his team to a 5-2 record. Although he just completed 55 percent of his passes and was inconsistent throughout the games.
