“He tryna get his job back”- Jets QB Zach Wilson STERNLY trolled by social media despite his generous gifts to his teammates

If we did a little time rewind to Dec 21, 2020, New York Jets defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the week 15 NFL game. That is their only win in the entire season. If they didn’t win that game, they would’ve had the No.1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft and could’ve got Trevor Lawrence. Instead, they got the No.2 overall pick and drafted Zach Wilson. And if someone is still living under the rock, Zach Wilson is not having a good time in New York.
Zach Wilson’s first year with the Jets was abysmal. He threw for 2,334 yards and 9 touchdowns while completing only 55.2% of his passes. He also threw 11 interceptions. None of them indicated Zach Wilson will turn into the Jets’ franchise quarterback. But the BYU product was given the benefit of doubt because he was a rookie, who was playing in a bad team. But Wilson has not progressed in his second year.
Wilson has thrown for 1,688 yards and 6 touchdowns while completing only 54.5% of his passes. He has thrown more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (6) for the second straight season. On top of that, Zach Wilson reportedly has reportedly lost the support of his teammates too. After a no-show offense cost the Jets a win against the New England Patriots in Week 11, Wilson was asked if he feels like he let his defense down, to which he answered with a simple ‘no’.
The second-year quarterback was benched the next game. Zach Wilson’s career as a starting quarterback is hanging by a thread and no one would be surprised if he got traded or became a backup QB next season. Amidst all this chaos, the Jets quarterback did a generous act of gifting his entire offensive line motorized scooters for Christmas.
While the players seem to have enjoyed the gift, showing them off on social media, the fans think this is an act by the Jets quarterback who’s just trying to win the team back after all his mistakes.

Zach Wilson gets trolled on social media
New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson felt generous during the holiday season and decided to gift some motorized scooters to his entire offensive line for Christmas. Jets offensive guard Nate Herbig posted a story on his Instagram showing off the scooter gifted by Wilson.
NFL fans were quick to react to this act on social media, many fans trolled Zach saying that he should have saved this money since he’s going to be out of the job soon while others believe this was just Wilson trying to win his job back.
Whether a ploy or just a generous act by the former No.2 overall pick, his future with the New York does not look good. The Jets are certainly regretting using the 2nd overall pick on Zach Wilson.
