The Baltimore Ravens, led by their star quarterback Lamar Jackson, went against the Los Angeles Chargers in their week 12 game on Sunday. Jackson and the Ravens ended up winning their game against the Chargers comfortably. During the game, the Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers hit a unique celebration after scoring a touchdown.
During the second quarter of the game, the Ravens were leading by 3 points and were trying to put more points on the board. Jackson, who received the snap from under the center, faked a handoff to his running back before hitting his target Flowers. The Ravens wideout completed the catch to register a 3-yard receiving touchdown.
After completing the touchdown, Flowers hit a unique wedding bouquet celebration. For his celebration, he had some teammates line up behind him and threw the ball backward over his head, similar to how a bride would throw a wedding bouquet. His teammates completed the celebration by fighting for the price and ultimately ended it with a proposal. Check out the footage of the celebration attached below.
Flowers — who is playing in the first NFL season — is already making a name for himself, both with his good performances and his better celebrations in the endzone. On Sunday’s game, following his ‘wedding bouquet’ celebration, Flowers celebrated his 37-yard rushing touchdown by scoring a penalty kick in the endzone and mimicking Cristiano Ronaldo‘s famous ‘SIU’ celebration.
Nonetheless, Zay Flowers had a great outing on Sunday. He caught 5 passes for 25 yards and 1 touchdown and rushed for 37 more yards and 1 more touchdown. The rookie receiver has proven himself as someone capable of being a No. 1 receiver in the NFL.
Lamar Jackson not amused by Zay Flowers’ touchdown celebration
Zay Flowers’ unique touchdown celebration in the Ravens’ SNF game against the Chargers became the talking point of social media. Many fans liked Flowers’ creative celebration.
However, one person who was not amused by the rookie’s celebration was the Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Following the endzone antics, Jackson and Flowers were seen sharing a conversation on the sidelines.
Flowers was explaining his touchdown celebration to Jackson, who seemingly had a disapproving reaction. Jackson rolled his eyes while the rookie was talking about his creative celebration.
Nonetheless, the Ravens ended up securing a massive 20-10 victory against the Chargers and retained the No.1 seed in the AFC playoffs picture. Next, the Baltimore-based football team has a much-deserving bye in week 13, which they would use to take some time off before continuing their journey.
