“DO IT KELS!”: Here’s how Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce dragged the Chiefs out of trouble in the final moments against the Bills

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce celebrating OT touchdown
The Kansas City Chiefs took on the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round playoff clash and what an encounter it proved to be. Till the very last minute, it was anybody’s game. However, the Bills would be terribly disappointed as they almost had it until Mahomes took it away from them in the final few seconds.
Till halftime, the two teams were tied at 14 points each. The Chiefs took a 2 point lead before going into the final quarter but the Bills made a tremendous comeback in the last quarter. With only 13 seconds left on the clock, the Chiefs were looking down and out as they were still trailing by 3 points.
Mahomes-Kelce duo snatches victory from the jaws of defeat

The Patrick Mahomes-Travis Kelce duo took the game away from the Bills in the last minute. Kelce, in the post-game press meet, opened up about the brief chat he had with Mahomes just before the final play in the fourth quarter. Kelce said that he told Mahomes that he wasn’t going to run the route that was called for on the play.
However, Mahomes kept yelling, “Do It, Do it.” It all worked out perfectly in the end as not only did the Chiefs end up tieing the game in the last moments of the final quarter, but also went on to win the encounter in an emphatic fashion in overtime.
It would be fair to say that both the teams played incredibly well. Josh Allen and Co also delivered a fantastic performance, however, a lapse in defense for just a little while proved to be fatal for them. The Chiefs will next take on the Bengals in the Conference Championship Clash.
