Raheem Mostert spent the early part of his career bouncing around the NFL before finally landing with the San Francisco 49ers. He has spent the last 6 years of his career with the Niners but will now be leaving California and is on his way to Miami to play for the Dolphins.

Raheem Mostert has had an injury-riddled career which many believe has hampered him from reaching his true potential. Still, his speed and quickness proved effective when healthy in Kyle Shanahan’s offense as he racked up 1610 rushing yards on 284 carries in San Francisco.

49ers fans will revere Mostert the most for his 2019 season where he helped take them to Super Bowl LIV. Mostert logged 137 carries for 772 yards and 8 touchdowns and was actually available for the whole season. His most notable performance was his unbelievable day in the NFC Championship against the Packers where he carried the ball 29 times for 220 yards and 4 touchdowns to take the Niners to the Super Bowl.

Raheem Mostert will clearly miss San Francisco as he shared a post saying “To the #Faithful, you guys gave me hope – a purpose to become the best player I can be. We’ve rode the wave together through both good times and bad. From having my first ever recorded TD against the Raiders to breaking my forearm the following series. To having my record-breaking performance in the NFC Championship game to playing in the Super Bowl and scoring a TD on the biggest stage, but unfortunately coming up short.”

Mostert further added “I came in as a kid with a dream and left as your starting running back, team captain, and with memories on and off the field I’ll never forget. My family and I have loved the past 6 years in the Bay. From the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you enough. All love always, Mosterati”

Now, Raheem Mostert finds himself in Miami with Chase Edmonds where he will likely be utilized in a one-two punch method given his injury concerns. The deal is for one year and now, he has to prove that he can stay on the field and be utilized to either remain in Miami or get a bigger contract elsewhere.
