Report: Philadelphia Eagles trying to have joint practices with the Cleveland Browns in the summer ahead of next season

The Philadelphia Eagles are already planning to have joint practices with the Cleveland Browns this summer in Berea, Ohio, according to league sources. The Eagles had joint practices with other teams last season also and they have benefited from it.

It gets their players ready for the next season as they face real competition instead of facing their teammates who would rather go easy on them than their teammates.

The Philadelphia Eagles coach, Nick Sirianni last year during the joint practices said, “Those inter-squad practices are like games,”, and he wants his team to be ready for the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles head coach, Nick Sarriani talked about his plans and said, “This is a brand-new territory we’re in. We don’t plan on taking two weeks off before Atlanta. We plan on working our tails off that week. We know what the week is going to look like before Atlanta. Very similar to a week that’s going to look like in week four or week seven. That week is spelled out.”

He further said, “We’re going to work our tails off that two weeks before. So, we are going to work hard in that time frame. So, again, it’s all case by case of what we are going to do. Again, this is great. I love this work that we’re getting, and with these two joint practices and the three preseason games, to me, that’s what, seven preseason games in my mind of how we’ve been working.”

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts also talked about the joint practices and said, “It’s been great work, Guys working together toward a common goal, overcoming some obstacles, and finding ways to have success. These are practices that we can use to build on.”

Both the Eagles and the Browns have a very important season ahead and the training camps are an essential part of it as both Jalen Hurts and Baker Mayfield are under pressure to perform well this season or their place might be in danger.
