The Seattle Seahawks had a rather forgetful season this time around. With 7 wins and as many as 10 losses, they failed to qualify for the playoffs and their fans were left dejected and disappointed. Russell Wilson, who has been a major part of the unit wasn’t able to guide his team effectively.

Even at the Pro Bowl, Russell’s performance was way below expectations. Since then, speculations about the 33-year-old experienced campaigner thinking of ending his stint with the Seahawks started to surface, and now, fans have found something new that suggests that the speculations might actually turn out to be true.

Russell has changed his Twitter avatar. What earlier used to be a photo of him in his Seattle uniform is replaced by a family picture with his wife Ciara and their children. Some might not term it as something huge but given how things have panned out in the last few months, many are calling it as a hint dropped by Wilson that he is ready to switch.

On ESPN’s Get Up Friday, analyst Damien Woody had a few things to say about Russell’s future. “If you want to be out of Seattle just say it,” Woody said. “But he hasn’t, so I’m going to put him back in Seattle because ultimately I think that’s what’s going to happen.”

Well obviously, this is 2022, so the only thing we can do is read into avatars,” reporter Kimberley A. Martin claimed talking about the same. “On the heels of his agent or whoever giving Adam Schefter a list of teams he’d rather play for or he would be willing to play for, there’s a lot of smoke about Russell Wilson wanting out.”

There are rumors and the Commanders and the Steelers might be interested in roping him in.
