Skip Bayless rates Dak Prescott 9 out of 10 to end Cowboys’ three-year playoff drought

Dak Prescott and Skip Bayless

After seeing Dak Prescott playing like his superstar self against the Philadephia Eagles, Skip Bayless is convinced that the Cowboys QB will manage to secure the first postseason win for Dallas in three seasons.

Cowboys crushed the Eagles 51-26 in the season finale game on Sunday. Dak Prescott had his career-high 5 TDs in a game against the Eagles. The Dallas quarterback was 21-off-27 for 295 yards and 5 TDs.

“He comes up clutch in big games”: Skip Bayless on Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott broke the Cowboys’ record for most touchdown passes in a single season. He broke former Cowboys QB, Tony Romo’s 36 TD passes record with a 3-yard throw to RB Corey Clement in the third quarter of the game. Unlike his Undisputed co-host Shannon Sharpe, Skip Bayless has faith in Dak Prescott. “Even though my quarterback No.4 has been wildly inconsistent, he is also been weirdly consistently clutch”, said Bayless. “In the biggest moments, in the biggest games, he has come up clutch.”

However, Dak Prescott has only come up clutch in the fourth quarter, when the game is virtually over. When he does go clutch in the final moments of the game, he goes all ‘warrior’ on the opponent’s defense. “We’ve seen him do that all too many times”, said Bayless on Prescott’s last-minute heroics. “He fought back against the Broncos, Mike McCarthy let him go back out there and see if he can get back up on the horse and ride it. And he rode it home.”

“Dak’s previous playoff QBR is more than Rodgers’, Burrows’, and Brady’s this season” – Skip Bayless

Skip Bayless is not all praises for the Cowboys’ QB. He said that Dak’s performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11 was “pitiful”. Skip said, “By his standards, making $75 million a year if you have the ball 12 times against that defense and you manage three field goals, obviously it’s not good enough.”

“I’ve loved what he’s done in those 3 playoffs games”, said Bayless recalling the Cowboys’ precious playoff encounters. Dak Prescott has a 1-2 playoff record, and he’s played well in each game. “His average QBR in these three games is 77.0. That means that if you can sustain that of this year, you would have won the NFL QBR.” Skip argued that Dak has played better in his playoffs matches than Aaron Rogers, Joe Burrow, and Tom Brady have played this entire year.

Skip believes that if Prescott maintains the same performance as he did in these previous playoff games, the Cowboys might have a chance of ending their drought, winning the playoffs this season, and potentially playing the NFC Championship game.

Dallas Cowboys are all set to face the San Francisco 49ers at their home field, AT&T Stadium on Sunday night.
