“Back Into a Slump”: Skip Bayless reckons against a price tag of $75 million Dak Prescott hasn’t delivered even $7.5 an hour worth of performances
Dak Prescott and Skip Bayless
Dak Prescott, one of the biggest names in this season, one of the marquee players for the Cowboys, the man who was expected to play a pivotal role in the Cowboys’ season triumph, has been undeniably poor. He has been so inconsistent that even his admirers have no choice but to criticize him for not being up to the mark.
In the Cowboys’ latest encounter, Dak and Co. looked completely out of sorts right from the beginning. In the first three-quarters of the games, they were outplayed so badly that even an emphatic comeback in the final quarter couldn’t save them from a morale-shattering loss.
“Dak has fallen back in a slump when I least expected”: Skip Bayless
Although Dak had three touchdowns under his belt in the encounter, he couldn’t deliver under pressure and as a result, his side ended up losing the game. To be fair, Dak’s individual numbers in the game aren’t very bad. He was hard to stop in the final quarter, however, in the first half of the game, he was very inaccurate.
Moreover, Prescott lost a fumble that set up Arizona’s final field goal and the Cardinals ended up winning the contest by 25-22. Referring to Dak’s inconsistency, Skip Bayless, who is an ardent Cowboys fan, lashed out at the star quarterback. “Dak has fallen back into a slump,” he said.
“When I least expected it. He’s making $75 million this year. So far today he’s been worth about $7.50 an hour,” Skip tweeted during the game. Although Dak redeemed himself in the final quarter, it wasn’t enough to overshadow his dismal performance in the first three quarters, and more importantly, it wasn’t enough to get his side over the side.
