“There’s a level of stupidity that comes with him”: Stephen A Smith absolutely destroys Urban Meyer for creating a ‘toxic work environment’ in Jacksonville
Urban Meyer and Stephen A Smith
When Urban Meyer came into the NFL, a lot of people were of the opinion that he might not be able to deliver at the biggest stage and one has to admit that they were right. His stint with the Jaguars came to an end after a short period and no one was actually surprised.
Meyer was the Jaguars head coach for 13 games and his team had a record of 2-11 by the time he was done with them. In his defense, there wasn’t too much quality on the roster but his presence surely didn’t help as well.
“He just thought he was big enough to get away with it”: Stephe A Smith on Urban Meyer
A few months back, Urban was seen at a bar dancing with a woman who clearly wasn’t his wife. Not exactly the best way to start off. In addition to this, according to a recent report by ‘The Athletic’ Urban Meyer actually created a toxic environment in Jacksonville.
Talking about the same, Stephen A Smith had a few things to say in the latest episode of ‘First Take.’ “He just thought he was big enough to get away with it,” Stephen said about Meyer, adding that he was a man who inherited a Jacksonville Jaguars franchise that had only been in the postseason one time since 2007.
“There is an elevated level of stupidity that comes with Urban Meyer. When we talk about the people in positions of power what is the one thing we lament – entitlement. How you feel you are above the fray, fully knowledgable about things that are applicable to everybody else but you are going to be different because you are the Urban Meyer who was 65 and 15 at Florida, and then you went 83 and 9 at Ohio State,” Stephen added,
“What Urban Meyer has done has now ruined it for any superstar college football coach hoping to be on the NFL level,” Stephen further stated. It will be interesting to see what happens next in this whole fiasco.
