Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have been the best quarterbacks in the league for a long time. There are often comparisons between the two of them and which one of them is the greatest. Aaron Rodgers has been the best QB of the year for three straight years now. He has won 13 games for the third time in three years and is on pace to win the MVP for back-to-back years. However, he still hasn’t made the Super Bowl in these three years.

On the other hand, Tom Brady is well Tom Brady. He left the Patriots and joined the BUccaneers in 2020 and won a Super Bowl with them the same year. There is no debating Brady’s greatness. However, Stephen A. Smith said that he would rather have Rodgers than Brady in the playoffs.

On the show First Take, Smith was asked which QB he would prefer. He said, “Brady is the easy answer because of resume. But I gotta tell you something, based on the eye test, what I’m seeing and sensing the moment that we’re in, for me it’s Rodgers.” Aaron Rodgers has been phenomenal this year. He won 13 games this season and the Packers are the No.1 team in the NFC for two straight years.

Smith feels that Tom Brady might face some difficulties defeating Rodgers and the Packers this year if both the teams make it to the NFC Championship game. Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost most of their star players to injuries this season. So, Smith thinks that Brady and the Bucs are not at their 100 percent this year.

“But you just beat Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field last year. You gonna pull that off twice in a row, against that brother, with this Green Bay Packers team with Aaron Rodgers knowing how we all will look at him if he let it happen again in back-to-back years considering his level of unquestionable, undebatable clear greatness, I don’t think so,” Stephen A. Smith said.

“If I were to ever decide to bet against Tom Brady, this is the moment that I would do it. This is the perfect time to go against Brady”, said Smith. Tom Brady has been exceptional this year. Even without his star players, Brady has led the NFL in yards (5,316 yards), completions (485), touchdowns (43), yards per game (312.7). Brady has been superior to Rodgers in every aspect this year. Even Brady has the same number of wins as Rodgers (13).

Still, Stephen A. Smith is of the opinion that Rodgers will outplay Brady in the playoffs. Well to each his own! Green Bay Packers will face the San Fransico 49ers at Lambeau Field on Saturday while Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face Los Angeles Rams at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
