Tom Brady

The day we’ve all been dreading has finally arrived. Tom Brady is retiring from the NFL after 22 unbelievable seasons.

Words simply can’t describe the influence that Tom Brady has had on the game. In his 22 seasons, Brady made 10 Super Bowls winning 7 of them with 5 Super Bowl MVPs, 3 NFL MVPs, 15 Pro Bowl appearances, 6 All-Pros and as the all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns. Only one word can be used to sum that up. GOAT.

The news of Brady retiring has been circulating since the Divisional Round matchup against the Rams. Before the game there were reports that Brady could be thinking of retirement after the season. Once the Bucs lost many more reports started flooding in that it was likely his last game.

But the talk of Brady and retirement is one we’ve been hearing for the past 5 years and when it comes around, he always seems to let it go by and suit up for another season. So, when these reports came out, no one really believed it too much and held onto the hope of Brady sticking around for at least one more year.

But now, the future Hall of Famer and undisputed GOAT is officially hanging up the cleats. We may have been hearing about it but no one is truly ready to accept it, and here is how Twitter took the news.

It’s the dawn of a new era in the NFL. One without its greatest legend. All good things must come to an end, and in the case of athletes, father time is undefeated. We can now just look back on these times and enjoy the fact that we were all able to witness history.
