“This is the KEY”: Tracy Wolfson reveals the secret to Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Bills in the Divisional Round
Tracy Wolfson and the Kansas City Chiefs
The second stage of the playoff, the divisional round, has begun. There are four high-octane matches taking place this week to determine which teams will last in the NFC and AFC Championship to decide the contenders for Super Bowl.
Buffalo Bills have been exceptional this year. They were absolutely dominant in the Wild Card game when they crushed the New England Patriots. On Sunday night, the Bills will travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the mighty Kansas City Chiefs. CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson had a conversation with Matt McMullen, Chiefs’ team reporter. They discuused what stratergies the Chiefs should employ to defeat the Bills.
Tracy Wolfson feels Kansas City Chiefs need to contain Josh Allen’s mobility
The Bills and the Chiefs faced each other in the AFC Championship last year. Kansas City won 38–24 over the Buffalo Bills and advance to the Super Bowl where they were destroyed by Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Josh Allen has been absolute beast this year. He had the best cold weather game of all time against the Patriost. Josh Allen has also broken 37 tackles as a rusher this year. It is the most by any non running back player in NFL this season.
The Chiefs defense has been great this year since Week 8. They are the top scoring defense in the league this year. “It certainly is going to be a challenge”, Wolfson said on the Chiefs’ defense trying to slow down the Bills’ offense. “Josh Allen’s legs are going to be a big part of the game. Containg Allen, keeping him in the pocket is going to be huge. Putting the pressure on him, forcing him to get the ball out quickly. Giving the defense the opportunity to force some turnovers. That’s going to be the key”
“I really like the Chiefs when they become balanced. When they utilize their run game that they have. If you can be more balance and protect Patrick Mahomes and using those backs and getting the ball to other guys when Kelce and Hill are covered.”
There is a lot at stake for both the teams trying to get to the AFC title game. If Kansas City Chiefs win against the Bills, they will be playing in the AFC title game for the 4-straight year. “It’s going to be an incredible matchup, and I think this is a rivalry that’s just starting and it’s going to be so much fun”, said Wolfson. So for the Chiefs to win, they have to pressure Josh Allen and just dominate with their offensice plays.
