The New England Patriots icon Tom Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bündchen is a world-famous supermodel. She is well known for her philanthropy and voluntary work and is admired by many fans around the world. However, she once received massive backlash for ‘disrespecting’ Islam after she was seen wearing a burqa as a disguise to get plastic surgery back in July 2015.

When the former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was struggling to prove his innocence in the deflate-gate scandal that tarnished his legacy, his then-wife Gisele Bündchen was going through her own struggles. Gisele was caught on camera wearing a burqa as a disguise in France to get her breasts altered by a plastic surgeon. The Brazilian fashion model was in France with her younger sister Rafaela who also reportedly wore a burqa during Ramadan month.

Gisele came under heavy fire for wearing a burqa, especially since the religious clothing was banned in France back in 2010 and people were not allowed to cover their faces. Moreover, some people were mad at the model for using traditional clothing as a disguise to get plastic surgery. Gisele wore a burqa since she apparently didn’t want anyone to know that she was getting plastic surgery.

The runaway model was vocal against plastic surgeries in her earlier days. However, after the birth of her second child, she went to France in disguise to get her breasts altered when she was 35 years old.

Despite being vocal against plastic surgery in her earlier days, Gisele Bündchen got her breasts altered after the birth of her second child. However, the famed supermodel instantly regretted getting surgery done on her body.

During an interview with People magazine back in 2018, the-then 38-year-old revealed she felt uncomfortable with her own body after getting a boob job in 2015.

“When I woke up, I was like, ‘What have I done?’ I felt like I was living in a body I didn’t recognize,” she told People. “For the first year, I wore [baggy] clothes because I felt uncomfortable.”

Fortunately, Gisele’s then-husband Tom Brady was very supportive of her during her tough times. “He just said, ‘I love you no matter what’ and that I looked beautiful,” she told People. “This was definitely another lesson: What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. But I wish I would have learned that a different way.”

Anyhow, Brady and Gisele decided to get a divorce back in October 2022 after being married for 13 years. Following their amicable split, the 42-year-old Gisele has made a comeback to the modeling industry.
