“You should retire”: Tom Brady has a hilarious advice for Joe Burrow if Bengals end up beating the Rams
Joe Burrow and Tom Brady
Tom Brady shocked the world when he officially announced his retirement from the NFL. Although it was clear that he was in the final phase of his career, the way he performed this season made everyone believe that he still has a lot left in him. Brady’s Bucs won the Super Bowl last season and made their way into the Divisional playoff this season.
However, their journey was cut short by the LA Rams in a hard-fought Divisional Round game this season. Post that, the Rams defeated the 49ers in the Conference Championship clash and confirmed their entry to the Super Bowl where they will face the Cincinnati Bengals.
Tom Brady joked that Joe Burrow should retire if the Bengals end up defeating the Rams
The Bengals have done a magnificent job this season. Especially Joe Burrow has been simply sensational throughout the season. Talking about the Bengals’ star QB, Tom Brady had a few things to say on the Let’s Go podcast. “Before we came on the air, Tom said something that gave me quite a chuckle and he probably didn’t want to say it because of the sensitivity around it but I can, I’ll repeat it for him,” Let’s Go! co-host Jim Gray said on the podcast’s latest episode.
“Brady said, he hopes you (Burrow) are the first person to win the Heisman Trophy, a college football championship and a Super Bowl. He said if that happens, you should go out on top and retire,” Gray added. For the unversed, if the Cincinnati Bengals end up defeating the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI, Joe Burrow will create a unique record.
Burrow will become the first player to win a Heisman Trophy, a collegiate national championship, and a Lombardi Trophy if he is able to guide the Bengals to a Super Bowl title. This is a fantastic record to hold which is exactly why Brady joked that Burrow should retire if the Bengals end up winning the title.
