The NFL is undoubtedly one of the biggest sporting leagues in the world. The games have a global appeal and many youngsters desire to be a part of them. However, from time to time, the league also gets involved in a number of controversies.
A while ago, former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores filed a lawsuit against the NFL and several franchises. In the lawsuit, Flores stated that even after the “Rooney Rule” came into effect, racial discrimination remains a major part of the NFL hiring process.
“Two other teams are expected to be implicated in the Brian Flores lawsuit”: Brooke Pryor
As soon as the news of Flores’ lawsuit broke, a lot of people came out in his support claiming that the NFL should take relevant steps to encourage diversity and annihilate racial discrimination. However, many also pointed out that it isn’t necessary that Flores didn’t get what he wanted solely because of his race.
In fact, Giants owner John Mara recently stated that he will not settle the lawsuit as the allegations made by Flores are completely false. As it turns out, the lawsuit has attracted two more plaintiffs. As reported by Brooke Pryor, two other coaches are expected to join Brian Flores’ lawsuit against the league.
“A source familiar with the situation tells me that two other teams are expected to be implicated, extending all the way up to the ownership level,” Brooke Tweeted. The two coaches are also alleging discriminatory bias in their failure to be hired for head-coaching jobs.
The Flores case is becoming bigger and more controversial with each passing day. The identity of the two people joining Flores in the lawsuit hasn’t been revealed as of yet.
